COVID-19: 20-day total nationwide lockdown imposed in this country as cases rise

Resulting in an increase in COVID-19 cases across Europe, Austria has agreed to enforce a severe 20-day COVID-19 lockdown commencing Monday (November 22), according to Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg.

"A national lockdown will begin on Monday that will last for a maximum of 20 days. Every ten days, an evaluation will be conducted. This should automatically conclude on December 13th, at which moment the lockdown for vaccinated and recovered patients would've been lifted "At a media briefing, the chancellor stated. From February 1, 2022, a compulsory COVID-19 vaccination campaign will be initiated in Austria, so according Schallenberg.

"Today we have made a rather painful decision - to impose mandatory vaccination very rapidly," the governor stated. "It will be in force as early as February 1, 2022."

According to Schallenberg, the government's move to put unvaccinated persons on lockdown has raised the population's willingness to be vaccinated, but many people still decline to get the coronavirus vaccination.

It should be remembered that a lockdown has already been in effect in the country since November 15 for people who hadn't been immunized against COVID-19.

Europe is also alerted for oxygen supply in the nation, they are saying that the demand of oxygen may also increase. Austria saw a lack of oxygen the previous year, so this time they directed all the Oxygen plants manufacturers and Acetylene plants to increase their production quantity.

Vienna's people take it so lightly, it feels like they are celebrating a holiday or something. In that region all the people are doing their casual work, like dropping children to their school, exercising outdoors, heading to their work, more or less normally. It was like they are living in 2020 pandemics, their whole movement was surveillance by the local police headquarters.

"I am particularly annoyed by the lockdown”, Georg Huber, a local lawyer on his way to the office. He also added "the government should have implemented a mandatory vaccination”, according to the Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg all the people should get vaccinated without any coercion.
