MP: 100 patients will benefit out of an oxygen plant at AIIMS

The plant was constructed in partnership with Coal India. This system may meet the oxygen demands of up to 100 patients one at one place.

Vishvas Sarang, the state's minister of medical education, unveiled an oxygen liquid plant to the public at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in New Delhi. The ceremony was attended by AIIMS director Dr. Sarman Singh, Medical Superintendent Dr. Manisha Shrivastava, and AIIMS president Dr. YK Gupta. At any given moment, the oxygen factory will serve 100 corona patients. Each minute, the plants produce 1,000 liters of oxygen.

In addition to AIIMS, ten plants must always be established. The JP Hospital, Kolar, Civil Hospital (Bairagarh), and PHC Nazirabad have indeed begun, while the oxygen plants in Hamidia Hospital and Katju Hospital have been under construction.

The plant was constructed in partnership with Coal India. This system can meet the oxygen needs of up to 100 patients at once. The AIIMS has already had appropriate liquid oxygen storage facilities. And it has a contract for liquid oxygen supply.

"During the second Covid wave, we had such an oxygen shortage. This is why oxygen plants are indeed being constructed. A total of 110 plants have been ordered. Because of a lack of oxygen, AIIMS had declined to add more beds. AIIMS will then have enough oxygen for Covid patients. In terms of oxygen production, Madhya Pradesh has achieved self-sufficiency. "There would be no lack of oxygen in AIIMS after this generator is installed," Sarang remarked.
