Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated 35 Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen plants across 35 states / union territories, which have been built under PM CARES. The event held at AIIMS Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya were also present on the occasion and hailed Modi's efforts in boosting health infrastructure across the country.
With the inauguration of these 35 PSA oxygen plants, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) claims that all districts in the state will then have PSA oxygen plants. Under PM CARES, a total of 1,224 PSA oxygen plants have already been funded all around the country, with over 1,100 units having been installed and producing over 1,750 MT of oxygen per day.
More than 7,000 people have been conditioned in the repair and control of these plants. They have included an embedded Network of Things (IoT) gadget that allows for real-time monitoring of their operation via a centralised gateway, according to PMO.
