Telangana Govt Install New Oxygen Generation Plant at Mahabubnagar

An oxygen production plant with a capacity of 1,000 liters per hour has been set up in Mahabubnagar Government Hospital to overcome the oxygen scarcity during the pandemic. On Monday, it was inaugurated by Srinivas Goud, Minister for Excise and Tourism.

The hospital requires about 45 cylinders of oxygen every day. Some days or months ago, due to shortage of oxygen cylinders the patients were facing a problem but with help of this plant the problem has been overcome to some extent. The plant has been installed in the lawns near the Physiology department with the cooperation of Pragati Foundation Trust under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

Oxygen generation plant will supply oxygen to private hospitals, government hospitals and maternity and other government health facilities in Mahabubnagar district.

Oxygen Plants are used to supply compressed air or to produce liquid oxygen. They are generally used for supplying needed oxygen in industries like steel mills, refinery industries, gasholders, and where compressed air is needed which is not available from other sources.
