Just after the city reported 28 new Covid-19 cases, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation added two new micro-containment zones. Gujarat confirmed 54 instances throughout the day, the biggest daily caseload addition in four months.
Daily testing has increased in Ahmedabad and Gujarat as a whole. Surat, on the other hand, continues to have had the highest testing numbers among some of the state's 33 districts, up to 11,000 on November 18th from 9,873 on November 20th. In Ahmedabad, 8,200 samples were examined.
Gujarat has had much more caseload additions than discharges during the last five days. Eight households with 18 members in Ambawadi's Karmanya flat and six households with 20 members on three floors of Tulip Citadel in Navrangpura are the two new micro-containment zones in Ahmedabad. The city having an established the first micro-containment zone ever since second week of June a week ago.
The state's health bulletin has yet to publish a Covid-19 death reported by Valsad district officials on Monday. On October 19, a 46-year-old male tested positive for the virus.
Currently, there are 291 active cases in the state. Government is worried about the 3rd covid wave that’s why they have started to build an Acetylene plants. Jitu Vaghnani, a Cabinet minister and spokesman for the state government, announced this week that the health department would organize 75 teams in each district. Over the following 15 days, these teams will visit 75 villages every day and inoculate the unvaccinated or partially vaccinated population.
