The cryogenic oxygen plant is designed to take free air from the atmosphere containing moisture and bring down its temperature to a value below freezing point so as to liquefy it. This process involves removal of the condensate formed during cold air refrigeration as well as removal of foreign objects in the air, like insects, birds and flying objects etc.

 

A Cryogenic oxygen plants is also called a gas processing unit. There are different types of cryogenic gas plants like LNG, LPG, LIQUID NITROGEN, NAPHTHA and ETHYLENE. In all these plants Air gets compressed by different compressor types like centrifugal compressor, double centrifugal compressor etc. The air after getting compressed passes through two chilling stages.

 

The cryogenic oxygen plant has been designed mainly to remove contaminants from natural gas. There are two types of such plants: based on absorption and based on cryogenic distillation. The cryogenic gas processing plant is a complex construction of technology, logistics and laborious production subject to many standards.

 

More than 90% of the cost of nitrogen fertilizer is determined by the cost of natural gas. The application of cryogenic gas processing technology can reduce the consumption of natural gas for ammonia production and has a positive impact on reducing greenhouse gases.

 

Cryogenic gas plant technology is an effective process, supplying a wide range of economized high-purity gases from natural gas: ethylene, ethane, propylene, propane, ammonia and others. Cryogenic gas processing forms the basis for many industrial and technological processes in different branches of the chemical industry.

 

The Cryogenic oxygen plant is an inter-related construction facility, integrating 3 cryogenic gas processing plants with a supply and discharge pipeline. The construction of the plant can be divided into three phases and four processes: Phase I. Cryogenic separator → Phase II. Liquefied natural gas dehydration → Phase III. Yellow coal gasification → Phase IV. High-pressure gas storage and pipeline supply.
