Ukraine Purchases 225 Oxygen plants Due To Surge in Covid Cases

The government of Ukraine, in particular the Ministry of Finance, signed a contract for the purchase of 225 oxygen plants for COVID-19 patients at a cost of UAH 648 million. The oxygen stations were additionally purchased to provide beds for COVID-19 patients in need of oxygen therapy.

Oxygen stations are used to deliver enriched oxygen for a more thorough and rapid uptake by the human body. A portable oxygen station is used in a variety of situations, most often when an individual's breath is insufficient (or the volume of inhaled oxygen is insufficient) for normal functioning.

The person using the device can breathe normally through the oxygen mask. The unit pumps room air containing 10% oxygen, which then travels through tubing, into an attached mask and finally into his or her mouth and nose.

Oxygen plants are designed for use by commercial, industrial and emergency medical service organisations. Oxygen will be delivered to the patient for a set duration, at which point a timer will turn off and discontinue oxygen delivery.

The oxygen station has four (4) oxygen outlets and is designed for use by patients unable to self-regulate their oxygen therapy. It is designed to be used anywhere in the hospital, or in the home. Functions include an automatic stop and start, on time recording and features a modern design that fits into any setting.
